Voice and Action for African Philanthropy
APN strives to increase impact and results-based grantmaking through adoption and scaling up of effective approaches. One of the ways we hope to achieve this is by creating an enabling environment for philanthropic and civil society organisations.
A key part of this work includes building strong alliances and relationships between philanthropists, grantmakers, public and private sector and individuals to develop advocacy models that will facilitate the development of local, regional, and continental movements to influence tax, policy and regulatory frameworks that impact on the practice of philanthropy on the continent.
This will culminate in an improved environment for local philanthropy across African states tp strongly influence Pan African and country level policy improvements and enhance the ability of African citizens to contribute more effectively to African development, as well as their self-development.
